The Shanghai music week is one of the three leading festivals of China dedicated to contemporary music. The festival is hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and provides a stage for new compositions, workshops and lots of performances.

 

New European Ensemble will perform portrait concerts of the Chinese composer Bright Sheng and Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho as well as a concert featuring new Chinese works including a world premiere by composer Guo Wenjing during the Shanghai Music Week.
