In 2018 is it a hundred years ago since the French composer Claude Debussy died. With this concert the New European Ensemble combines Debussy's music with his critical writing. The pieces you will hear tonight are by Debussy himself, and by two composers who were influenced by his music. In between the music, writer and actor Bob Schwarze brings to live the writer Debussy.

Claude Debussy - Deux arabesques (bew. Henk Alkema)

Claude Debussy - Sonate for flute, viola en harp

Kaija Saariaho - Terrestre

Claude Debussy - Six épigraphes antiques (bew. Karl Lenski)
