from 20 - 27 September, New European Ensemble teams up with Lonneke van Leth productions for a new interpretation of the murder of Carmen. Bizet's masterpiece is put in a setting with new music and a impressive choreography with no more than 37 dancers and 24 singers on stage.  The music from Maxim Shalygin will be performed in this new adaptation from Bizet.

For this special production the New European Ensemble works with Lonneke van Leth. This renowned Dutch choreographer has made an impressive amount of performances in the last few years, ranging from new adaptation from Swan Lake, to children's plays for primary schools. Since 2009 Lonneke is artistic director of her own foundation which performs several new productions each year.
