From 20 - 27 September, New European Ensemble teams up with Lonneke van Leth productions for this reinterpretation of the murder of Carmen. Bizet's masterpiece is set with new music by Ukrainian composer Maxim Shalygin and impressive choreography with 37 dancers on stage.

For this production the New European Ensemble is collaborating with renowned Dutch choreographer Lonneke van Leth. Her productions in the past years have ranged from a new adaptation of Swan Lake, to children's plays for primary schools. Since 2009 Lonneke is artistic director of her own company which creates new productions annualy.
